-: Power Definition,Formula, SI Unit :-
Power
Power can be defined as the rate of work done. In other words - Power can be defined as the transfer or conversation of energy per unit time.
Formula
Power = Work Done / Time
P = W/t
P = E/t
Where
P = power
W = Work Done (in joule)
t = Time (in second)
E = Energy (in joule)
SI unit of power is Watt.
∵ P = E/t
= unit of energy / unit of time
= joule / second
= j/s
= Watt
∵ 1 j/s = 1 watt
